THE ART OF CHEESEMAKING

The Simple Farm continues to be a hub of learning, creativity and inspiration. . . a place where community gathers, connects with God, people, and nature. 

Two weeks ago, a small group gathered in the farm's Milk Kitchen to experience the beauty and the Art of Cheesemaking. We spent about four hours together making the first part of Cabra al Vino - a firm, raw goat cheese made in Spain.

For me, the process of making cheese is a spiritual one - it's a beautiful and intentional journey that requires a slow down to engage the senses. Each step, from heating the fresh, raw milk to sprinkling the culture, provides its own significance and allows for a slow, deliberate rhythm that resonates with the mind, heart, and soul.
