WHEN BRINGING CHILDREN TO THE FARM - FARM ETIQUETTE

We love kids - as a matter of fact, we have seven grandkids and we believe kids do well when experiencing the outdoors on all levels. We believe it's important for kids (of all ages) to experience a taste of farm life and therefore on occasion, we open the farm for various events, education classes and mom and tot exploration mornings along with our Farm Family Supper & our Family Sunday Time to Meet our New Baby Goats.

THE SIMPLE FARM ETIQUETTE

  1. You are visiting a working farm and a business. You are a guest on the farm. Please respect any rules and signs displayed at the farm.
  2. Leave your pets at home. Our goats are afraid of other pets.
  3. Park your vehicle in designated areas only.
  4. For your own safety, visit only identified areas.
  5. Please keep your children with you at all times. No running please - don't want anyone to trip or fall.
  6. Do not feed the goats/chickens unless instructed to do so. They are on special food.
  7. Keep closed gates closed and opened gates open.
  8. Dispose of garbage in receptacles.
  9. Always wash your hands after touching any animals. Remember farm animals are domesticated, not tamed.
  10. When visiting a farm, sampling may be allowed, but please do pick fruits, flowers or vegetables. They are the farmers’ livelihood and he gets paid when he sells them.
