When Michael and I hear about someone - especially a kid - who is on a path with passion to do something with food, farming etc - we want to see how we can create a platform/space at the farm to help ignite that passion.
Enter Gavin. Gavin is a very respectful young man - 9 years old - who loves food, cooking, chopping and combining various foods to create an experience of something beautiful for others - on the plate.
We invited Gavin and his dad Matt to join us at the farm - during the weekend of our April Moonlight Dinner. When we told Chef Adam about Gavin and his desire to be a chef- he said a QUICK yes to have them come to the dinner and that he'd put Gavin to work.

Our heart is to take these kids back to a food source. When Gavin and his dad Matt came - we started with some Goat Keeping 101.
Gavin learned how to milk a goat, take that fresh raw milk, add culture to make Chèvre, and he learned how to care for the baby goats - mostly feeding them their bottles.
