For the longest time, I have wanted to experience the process of creating a bowl, coffee mug or flower vase for our farm's botanicals.

I have watched various artists, like my oldest grandson, Simon, at the potters wheel and being mesmerized by the process - longed to try my hand at it.

Creating with our hands can be soul renovating and after this experience I learned a few more things about myself - one came from how difficult this art is - the other was to not look at anyone else's creation and compare.

Projects such as this one are intended to be that which slows us down, touches us in those deeper places in the heart.
