Last evening (Monday) while enjoying the rain on the desert, I took a bit of time to scroll through this blog. A journal of our hearts and our work (Michael and mine) have done pouring in reclaiming the desolate, dry ground at 9080 and slowly transform it into this - gardens of life - a desert sanctuary of sorts, inspiration to so many and a place where the table matters.
Much of what I write about has to do with the table, food, family, gardens and the like. It's part of my heart. It's part of who I am. The table was and still is central to the heart of The Simple Farm. It's why we invite others - you to join us at our table at the farm.
Something special happens when we gather at the table and give place to good food and wine and friends and strangers. Often, I think of the power the table has to unite, feed, heal, nourish and restore.
