Creating Beauty

February 05, 2019

Don’t you love it when an idea turns into a reality? It happened this week. The old buck pen/yard began a slow renovation process a year ago. After breeding the girls (goats), I just kept staring at that space and it seemed perfect for the creation of a beautiful brunch/lunch garden. Michael was so sweet to catch the vision - or at least the idea and THIS past Wednesday the fruit of vision and hard work unfolded It all happened. I had my first lunch gathering in the Beauty Garden. Michael and I served the team of women who volunteer at the farm. The weather was perfect. The table was beautiful (thanks to Donna and Lorre for your help). The garden was just so lovely.

Michael and I asked the women to select their favorite off the menu from Flower Child. We served mint and hibiscus tea and finger sweets from Wild Flower Bread Company. Michael and I are still talking about how wonderful it was.

We are doing another gathering in the Beauty Garden NEXT Friday on October 26th. This time it’s a brunch and my basic skin care class (with treats to take home). I can’t wait to give you a tour of the farm’s beauty as well as The Lab and then serve you brunch with Pickett Fence Pastries and Tea Sandwiches and Donna’s tea sandwiches.

WHAT I AM USING LATELY ON MY SKIN.

Calendula is beginning to pop up in the garden and it’s healing power and beauty is so good. Lately, I have switched from Rose Geranium Facial Tonic to our Calendula. I love it’s earthy scent but even more so how it soothes and calms my skin.
