We're reaching out to anyone who has a little spot of time this Sunday morning. A team of various gardeners have volunteered to give us a hand - prepping, preparing, wedding, cleaning up our farm/raised beds for fall planting.
The work time is from 7-10 am and if you can't make it quite at 7 - that's ok...come when you can.
Bring a hat, a water bottle and wear closed toed shoes. You'll get teamed up with a partner and be sent with instructions to a garden to work some magic. Suzanne from Vilardi Gardens is making fresh lemonade and Vinnie, the Gardening is coming to help give direction.
We're working hard right now because we have a special farm tour happening THIS Tuesday and really want the place to shine - we want the city to be proud of the farm.
On another note - we ended the FarmShop and all the below amazing produce this past Thursday. We won't reopen till late September/early October. If we get some help, we might (weather permitting) be able to get the beds ready sooner and begin to plant/seed. Nothing happens though till all beds are "happy" and the heat simmers down.
Speaking of Farm Members - we'll once again grow for ONLY 30 families. We've already begun to take $100 deposit from all CURRENT Farm Members (and a few new ones who showed up this past Thursday). So, if you're a current MEMBER - meaningyou were part of our 4 week Summer Sizzler AND the last 9 week Season - AND would like to be included for the FALL - you need to connect with me quickly - firstname.lastname@example.org and express your intent and then send your $100 deposit to the farm.
The fall season will more than likely be a 10 weeker. That means at $40 per week - it's $400. Your deposit (not refundable) will hold your spot with the balance due mid-September.
All this said....Michael and I so enjoy all our Farm Members - each one of you is special. We really love doing this for you. You are awesome. You're support is incredible.
