My Farm Journal: The Magic of Our Recent Farm Supper

Supper. Dinner. Good food. People. Hungry people. Souls. Hearts. Life. Strangers. Neighbors. Our farm. Unfolding beauty. Star lit table.  Gathering.  Candle lit table. 

Michael and I wanted to create a garden spot on the farm for community and slow living and gathering and good simple food with others. 

Collaborating with The Scottsdale Resort and Kitchen West was the perfect way to invite the community to our farm for supper and to highlight the amazingness of Chef Rick from the resort.  Which, by the way, the resort is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

Friday evenings alfresco was a beautiful farm supper collaborative experience with Chef Rick and his team from Kitchen West (here). The evening began with set up in this garden space at this beautiful table and all sorts of amazing cooking. This theme was a French theme.

The day before the supper, Chef Rick walked around the farm with Joy, our Farm Manager to gather and harvest and snip carrots, yard long beans, onions, spaghetti squash, turnips, radishes, lettuces and other greens for Friday's supper.

Michael and I teamed up between greetings our supper guests and giving them quick tours to see the goats and baby chicks and directing them to wine and amazing hor d' oeurves. Our guests were able to see all the supper prep.
