Breeding Season & Baby Goats

So, last year, we had a wonderful season and a sad season of new babies and the loss of a mother. I wrote about the loss of Gretchen's sweet GIGI (the first daughter of our first girl born here at the farm - Ahni who is the goat on our Sea Salt Bourbon Vanilla Caramels). Gigi is the sweet goat on our Pumpkin Spice Caramels.

Anyway, we decided to breed just three girls this season. Bridgette (click HERE), Hazel (click HERE) and then Instagrams most famous goat - Cherry (click HERE).

So, stay tuned this weekend for sure as we share about new farm babies for the end of February.

We bred all three girls the end of September and they need to be over 40 days pregnant to see any little "baby sacks" by ultra sound. So, THIS weekend, we'll get to see IF babies and HOW many.

That sweet image above is Annabelle of Veterans Ranch in Florence. She was so kind to bring her young buckling to the farm LAST season for us to "use" him with our girls. He was amazing and that baby above was our Storms LAST baby and a girl to deliver. We just found out she won first place in her division at the AZ State Fair. Way to go baby Monique!
