. . . soon. July 3rd is our last day to be open to the public for our market.
I know - I know - so many of you have just started coming for the first time (or returning) to our Friday market since we re-opened our market - a "cooks market" last December.
But - just like we ALWAYS do - we shut the market down during these hot months till sometime in October.
Last July, however - after we closed the market - we made some farm changes and a business decision to begin our farm's CSAs. You can read about our CSA here. We turned our focus full on our CSA members. The decision to embrace the CSA model was really a good one. We met people who loved our farm and yet weren't able to be at a market - work, family kind of factors. Seeing these people week after week and hearing how they were preparing meals with our produce simple rocked. Most of these first time members have continued to be part of our CSA each season. One mom (Alison) told me this past Thursday that she didn't go to the super market - but only cooked from what was in her CSA basket - with the exception of her meats. That was awesome!
So - SOON - in a few weeks - the farm will CLOSE (again) to Friday Market guests. That means we won't be open to the public until sometime late fall. Sorry. Just time for a break for all farmers around here.
However, IF you are one of our CSA members - you will STILL come to the farm on Thursday's to continue picking up your selections of the produce we grow. Yup, you sure will. And, we'll still make available all those fun meal add-ons.
So - NOT SO GOOD NEWS - the farm is closing to Friday market guests - soon - July 3rd is last day.
So - THE PRETTY GOOD NEWS - I am adding a few more CSA members. This means that IF you're a Friday market guest OR if you have NOT been able to shop our farm because you work on Friday mornings - YOU can still take advantage of our produce by becoming a CSA member. Super cool. Details are here. This 5 Week Summer Sizzler has it's first pick up Thursday July 9th.
CARAMELS and Caramel Sauce (limited supply)
JUST SO YOU KNOW......caramels are pretty much ALWAYS available to place an order here and then pick up at the farm.
