I'd never heard of Cajeta or Goat Milk Caramel Sauce until I randomly found this website that gave a ton of recipes and ideas of what "else" one could do with goat's milk. Who doesn't like a sweet sauce drizzled on a banana split or brownie or apple pie - especially a yummy caramel sauce.
Cajeta or caramel sauce was the first confection product I made with our girls milk. And the second year into making it - a nice article was written about it by Chef Gwen Walters.
Often I tell myself that I'm not going to make the sauce - but I find that every late spring - there seems to be a bit of a demand - and because it's so yummy - I head back to the caramel kitchen and start stirring the pots for more of the sauce.
Now that we are closing the farm on July 3rd - our last market - I wanted you to know that you can always place an order online here - and order a jar or two or three. We do NOT ship - this is for farm pick up only which we're glad to schedule.
