Education - Inspiration, CSA and Farm Update

One year ago we began a new farm journey by adding workshops and classes to inspire hearts to know they "could at least try to do it" and then educate hearts to actually gain tools to "do it."

Our workshops and classes have been a valley success. We have taught hundred's of hearts how to garden (all kinds and all ways) and we've taught hearts how to cook - how to ferment - how to take good care of chickens - how to make cheese and a few other things.

Sunday we're adding a new class - Goat Keeping 101. Register here.

Reflection and Direction and New Classes

Within the past few months we have taken our own time to reflect and meditate and pray about the direction we wanted 9080 E. Cactus to go. . . a direction that would bring us peace to the true heart of who we are and contributing best to the community around us.

Adding basic life skill classes is one of those new directions.  Lately, skilled older folk have  started to come out of the "wood work" and as we have tapped into them - our question is - will "you tap into" another person and teach them what you know.  Some of these classes will involve KIDS age 7-12.

Needless to say, Michael and I are encouraged and if you haven't checked our workshop and class schedule do so - so you won't miss out - it's here.

Farm Update - New Direction

Soon - there will be a press release to announce this new phase of The Simple Farm.

This is our new farm larder and we are slowly filling it with hand-made items that are unique. Our baskets of produce are here and the DAY you volunteer (go here) you can shop the larder, buy raw goat's milk and cheese and grass fed beef, caramels, honey, heirloom seeds, and (soon) cheese making cultures/kits and more.

CSA Shares

The farm is being prepped and mapped out for this lovely fall planting season. I am giddy.  This summer we opened up our first CSA Members Program. See here.  The 10 CSA baskets were sold out in less than 4 hours. We added 5 more and they sold out in 20 minutes. We are going to start with ONLY 25 CSA share baskets to begin mid-October. I will post the CSA share GO button soon. If you're at all interested - be on the look for it. The first 25 people with their $200 in the mail/cash and no cc and at our farm are on our first list. I have goats to manage and caramels to make and cannot manage a 'reserve' list. I post - you bring your check/cash (no cc) and you're in on the most amazing season of incredible vegetables.

FAQ

So you understand - read ALL we have posted on CSA. Our FAQ page here will help answer other questions and between NOW and the We're OPEN day - I'll probably add a few more to the list.  ADD-On details with our amazing vendors like Grano de Vida, Nourished and Pistol Whip are still being worked out.

Enjoy the day!
