This past summer we felt led to begin our farm's Simple Inspirations - workshops to inspire and encourage and provide basic "how to" tools and knowledge to help you move toward a simple sustainability lifestyle in three main areas: growing your food, raising your food and preparing your food.
We have had the valley's best instructors join us at the farm to share what they know and how they do it with you. Kari Spencer, Jill and Hal Green, Bobbie Roth, Annabelle Pattison, Vicky Mayo and her mother, and in December you'll meet Dr. John Thoma (who/what he does is here) who LOVES everything fermented in his The Art of Fermentation Workshop here.
We are continuing our workshops - some instructional and some hands on. Solar Oven Cooking, Holiday Jam Making, Making Kombucha, How to Make Kefir and Understanding Probiotics (both workshops recently being scheduled for January), Making Simple Bread (also moving to a January date), are all on the docket for the next few months. We have a few more workshops we're working on - Pie Crusts and Pies, Simple Soups, Cooking With Herbs, Making Herbal Tinctures, Gathering Around The Table . . .
