CAN I JUST STOP BY, VISIT THE FARM OR JUST SAY HELLO?
Like any place of operation (which our farm is), it's a distraction to our work when anyone 'just stops by' to say hello or to want to 'see' the farm or 'just' walk around. We have set 'visiting' hours to Thursday mornings only (seasonal) from 9-11:30 am. When you do come on Thursday morning please keep in mind we do NOT allow pets (unless a registered service dog) and we do NOT allow smoking on the farm. Got questions? In a nutshell, the answer to the above often asked questions is no. It's difficult for people who don't do what we do for a living, to understand the nature of farm life and running several business.
We are a working farm with a growing caramel business, farm to table gatherings as well as launching our new botanical skin care line. Managing businesses, caring for our goats and chickens and growing some produce, herbs and flowers is more than full time work and drop ins are really a distraction.
We know the public is drawn to beauty, they want to see the goats and are curious------- so that's why we open the farm to the public ONE MORNING a week (seasonally) on a Thursday morning from 9-11:30 only. Farm guests can shop our Farm Shop and purchase our caramels and (coming soon) our botanical skin care products. You will be able to enjoy Pickettfence Pastries and even see Chloe, Beatrix and the other goaty-girls. See our Farm Rules here. FARM TOURS: If you're interested in a docent led farm tour, contact us here. Our farm tours take place during the week on Thursdays from 1-2 pm and last for about 45 minutes. Health and sanitation reasons do not allow us to give tours of our productions spaces.
5. DO YOU RENT GARDEN SPACE FOR GATHERINGS?
Yes - we sure do. We'd love to talk with you about reserving a garden space for an adult only gathering or party or a corporate event. We even have garden space that seats between 80-100 people. Email us through our contact form HERE. At this time we do not host weddings at our farm.
6. I'M A PHOTOGRAPHER. CAN I USE YOUR FARM FOR A PHOTO SHOOT?
Yes! Photography sessions must be approved and scheduled by contacting us through the contact form HERE. Our photography site fee is $90 an hour. Here is an example of an Engaged Couple Shoot Michael and I did recently here.
7. CAN I VOLUNTEER AT THE FARM?
As a busy farm we always love extra helping hands. Volunteers "work" under Joy, our farm manager. Contact us HERE for more volunteer information.
8. HOW DO I BUY YOUR PRODUCE AND FLOWERS?
We have made a shift in the amount we grow and no longer prowe put it in the FarmShop which is open to the public on Thursdays, 9:00 - 11:30 AM. More info on the FarmShop page.
